If you can trust that person I don't see why you couldn't tell them. It's up to you to tell your stories with who you want. Unless you feel that it's too soon to bring up that bad thing. It might do good to tell someone though.

I would try to do better here. If someone wanted to start over entirely, it might work depending on who they are. If their intentions reflect that they do want to start over.

It's your choice at the end of the day. You should be allowed to decide if you want to speak about it, who to tell, and whether or not you want to make amends and how.

None of us can force you to decide and no one should either. It isn't bad that you want to start over. I personally - emphasis on 'personally' - think everyone does at some point in their life after something happens.

As for being better here? Absolutely! Try as best you can! Start over! It's not bad! Trust me, total stranger, on this one. That's actually the best thing you can do. Everyone deserves forgiveness and a chance at redemption. Any world would be a terrible place if we didn't let people who make mistakes try to be better for them.

The real question perhaps is can you forgive yourself, or live with your own actions in the least. Whatever allows you to do that here, I feel, is a place to start.

I lied once because I did not understand what I did was bad until months after I had done it. I was scared I would be killed. Other people believed me when I said I did not know and they made up a story to cover up what I did. I pretended that was true.

I pretended for years. I told the lie too many times and I believed myself.
But the lie came out. A lot of people are angry because they believed the lie and were scared.

You are a child. You are like how I was, with a brain that cannot yet be held to adult human standards. If you did something bad I forgive you.
If someone wants to punish you for the bad thing, I will kick them for you.

It's also important to not let the past eat at you...otherwise you end up where I had been for a long time. Ultimately... it's your decision on what you want to do. Just don't forget yourself too.
