are you allowed to not tell anyone about it? or try to be better here? are you allowed to start over entirely?

Then it isn't your fault, any more than a war is the fault of the horse ridden into battle.

But even if it isn't your fault you have responsibility if you are dangerous. Is the thing in your head still?

Remember that it makes sense. Because people will blame you anyway. You're small and a safer target to be angry at than whatever creature rode you.
