001: un: A2

Since it seems to come up a lot, and since we got a bunch of new people recently, I'll make it clear to everyone.

Androids are not machines. Don't call us machines, and don't call us robots.

And since I have your attention still, there's a machine running around. Tall, male, red eyes and white hair. If he starts anything let me know so I can test how sharp my sword is. I promise I'll do it quietly. Or at least with no one else around.

[A2 relents after a moment where she's sure that he's actually not going to make a noise and not going to do something stupid.

Surprisingly, A2 gets Eve's anger, even if he's a machine. She gets not wanting to believe someone that you care for is gone. In the moment, she sympathizes with Eve immensely.

With surprising gentleness, she takes his device, and moves to put the sword off to the side. She faces him, and with one hand she signs.]

I'll remove the text, but no more of this stupidity between the two of you, got it?

[There's less sharpness to her movements.]

[Once again, she doesn't actually kill him. As much as she threatened to do it, she has yet to be decisive. Eve doesn't get it.

But maybe that's why he asked for her help at all.

He watches her carefully, almost blearily, before nodding once. As big as he is, he feels small in this moment. Perhaps because he's sitting, but there's something else to it as well, if he thinks about it. But thinking just makes him upset.]

Okay.

[It's signed without any bite. Indeed, his hand moves limply.

He sits and waits patiently for her to finish fixing it, then, staring at his hands and flexing his left one idly.]

Good.

[It only takes a bit of hacking on her end. There isn't anything overly complex about what 9S did, other than being a pain in the ass. It's only about two minutes or so before she looks up at him, offering the device back.

Before she gives it back to him, she signs again, though.]

I'll make sure he doesn't do anything stupid himself.

[Eve scoffs quietly. He is still very much upset.

He's much better now, at least, and will take his device from A2 with no aggression or anger roiling off of him. Rather, an uneasy sort of calm settles in his gut, and he curls forward, arms wrapped around his knees.

The device gets a few glances too, as if Eve doesn't quite believe it's fixed? Especially through an android undoing something another android did.

A2 garners a funny look her way when the screen continues to be innocently red-free, but he doesn't say anything about it. Back to being a sullen machine in a poorly lit garage!!]

[A2 watches him, and she does raise an eyebrow at the funny look she receives, as if she's daring him to comment on it. But he doesn't, so she just rolls her shoulders, trying to ease her own tension.]

Stop sulking. Go get a hobby or something. Do something proactive while you're here. I know you're capable of it.

[Neither of them want to admit A2 is soft, great!!

As for her comment, Eve perks up a little, mostly in offense?]

Huh? What do mean by that?

[Like, that's funny coming from her but Eve can't even grasp that much. Only that she's telling him to do something and he doesn't wannaaaaaaaaa.]

I'm not gonna do anything nice for humans if that's what you mean. That's your job.

Hobbies aren't something you do for other people, idiot. They're something you do for yourself.

[Like give you something to focus entirely on, so you can calm down.]

They're a good way to pass the time too. God knows you're not going to do anything helpful for others here, so at least find something nondestructive to amuse yourself with.

[Now Eve is definitely looking at A2 like she just bent and started shoveling the dirt she loves so much into her mouth. All while looking him right in the eye to boot.

Until his baby brain catches up and he pouts instead, because A2 is poking at a sore spot already.]

I like doing what brother wants. But he's not here.

[He has no interests that aren't destructive either...]

I don't wanna do anything.

Maybe you should find something you like to do instead of relying on what this brother of yours wants to do. Those kid machines were capable enough of doing that. Or maybe you just aren't as advanced as you say you are.

And yet, Eve huffs quietly.

Because...he can't even argue that he does have his own hobbies, secretly? He has nothing. The gears in his head are turning, but there's just sparks and misfires, captain.]

Eve has no interest in doing anything, especially after what just happened, and will, well.

Lay down on his side, jaw resting in his right hand, the picture of idleness.

And then he'll lift his free hand to kindly flip her off. How's that for a hobby?]

[A2, reaches out with her hand, grabs the finger flipping her off, and bends it backwards at an EXTREMELY uncomfortable angle.]

Now Eve knows why people invoke that guy's name so much, because damn! Lord free him from his suffering.

He makes a decidedly funny face and is immediately on his ass again, trying to twist his finger out of her grip.

This is abuse??? Eve crumples a little, though it didn't do any actual damage. But he's a big baby, so that made it also the worst thing ever?????

He relents a little!!! At least!!!]

[He's going to sit and stew in the garage the moment her supervision is gone otherwise, no hobbies found. It's like how Adam's absence has seen clothes become optional once more.]
