I understand the need to feel separate from this world but there can’t be an us and them, the natives. It’s us and them, the monsters who feed on sound.

Many of us have abilities. Powers that are useful. There are natives that do as well. If we band together, we can keep ourselves safe. All of us.

I’m compiling all the information gathered here and there will be three different sections. Public, private, and what you can help with rather than abilities.

I've got a few abilities myself ranging from telepathy and telekinesis, and wielding of magic to a few more mundane aspects, like mechanical engineering and, if needed, forensic psychology. I'm also very open to learning new skills.

I guess that first one might cause some concern, though.

I agree that we should be focused as a community on utilizing the talents of everyone here. At any time, day or night, I am very much available.

I'm a Vampire Slayer. Super strength, fast, can sense demons, get prophecy dreams sometimes but those are mostly useless.

I'm capable of creating barriers that can be used to prevent entrance to rooms, buildings, and the like. Technically it's for vampires, back home, but I feel there's potential in it working in other ways. On a similar note, I can place charms on such things as manacles that can dampen the use of super strength.

That aside, I'm good with most armed and unarmed methods of fighting, possess more strength and speed compared to the average human, and heightened senses. I'm also able to teach self defense to others, should that be wanted.

They do say great minds thing alike. Count me in. Mechanical engineering is where I'm best at, but chemistry, biochemistry and hell, even some forensics and botony if I need to, aren't off the table. Just don't expect anything greater than miracles.

Much as this might just sound like me stroking my own ego: I agree. This isn't the time to be isolating any part of our community. If we're going to overcome this it's going to be together. Prejudice will only make us the losers to whatever goal the Sound Eaters are after. I'd like to not end up in the Worst Case Scenario. It's called the Worst Case Scenario for a reason.

Does that extend to our devices?

It's not the right time ever. The natives have been open with us.
They're weak and they're afraid.
We shouldn't punish them for their fear.

There are bigger battles to be fought. The Sound Eaters are intelligent.
They kill us easily.
If the natives are right, what if the first death is our last. Or the second.
They've told us of people who arrived the way we did dying permanently.
We should be prepared.

We're not all utilizing our skills.
