[Erik cares little for the voting process or who was chosen to lead. What he does care about is how that decision will effect him. The environment. The natives, people who he feels an odd and detached sort of likeness to. He understands all too well what it’s like to be crowded into a small space and forced to live in fear for being ‘different’.]

Congratulations to our new leader.
I’m sure he’ll treat everyone fairly and equally.

I understand the need to feel separate from this world but there can’t be an us and them, the natives. It’s us and them, the monsters who feed on sound.

Many of us have abilities. Powers that are useful. There are natives that do as well. If we band together, we can keep ourselves safe. All of us.

[He wants to make his motives clear. He wants to survive. To get back home where he has unfinished business.]

I’m compiling all the information gathered here and there will be three different sections. Public, private, and what you can help with rather than abilities.

And I believe many exist but haven’t come forward.

Aside from noise levels such a power might create, why would they not come forward? Are their powers classified somehow?

[Because the idea of keeping a perfectly valid weapon secret did not make sense to Rei. She was in a world where survival too precedent over any sort of prejudice. Admittedly, there was also the fact that she was basically constructed for and conscripted in pseudo-military service, so her perspective was less than normal here.]

It's a risk to come forward.
There are people who would harm those that are not like themselves.
I don't care who knows what I am but some do.

Prejudice runs rampant inside the hearts of cowardly men.

Humans are like that, yes. They do harm what they do not understand, I suppose. But a useful ability is not something that anyone where I come from would look upon poorly.

The fight for survival kills fools and keeps the wise alive.
