Since it seems to come up a lot, and since we got a bunch of new people recently, I'll make it clear to everyone.
Androids are not machines. Don't call us machines, and don't call us robots.
And since I have your attention still, there's a machine running around. Tall, male, red eyes and white hair. If he starts anything let me know so I can test how sharp my sword is. I promise I'll do it quietly. Or at least with no one else around.

He very pointedly gets up and goes to 9S' room and opens the door to stare at him very disapprovingly.]

If he lets himself get caught off guard again, will he really be torn apart? And 2B... No, she's too strong to be killed by some lowly machine.
What choice did they have, but to fight? Machines were the enemy, and it was clear with Eve that destruction was all he cared about! The humans, and 2B... They were all in danger.
He's so angry, his fingers curl against his skin. Angry, but frightened... Tired. Why did the machines have to follow them here?]
no subject
... all the more reason not to antagonize him, however...
He walks up to 9S' side, and crosses his arms, looking down at him. Still disapprovingly, but not with quite as much virulence as before.]
no subject
It makes 9S' insides twist, and he signs, hesitant.]
Can I help you...?
no subject
Network. Explain.
no subject
What's there to explain? That machine... He's a threat to everyone here. That's all.
no subject
A threat that you deliberately antagonized. What do you expect that he'll do if he finds out that you're residing here?
no subject
...I'll move. I won't put you or Akira in danger.
no subject
... he can't kick him out. If Akira had agreed to let 9S stay here, then likely the idiot has already fostered some kind of fondness for him. He knows that if Akira were here, then he would be more concerned about the android's safety than himself, let alone any potential damage to his property— though likely something that destructive would not go unnoticed by Sound Eaters...
But with the reset room, that may not be a significant deterrent.
... and no, he absolutely won't admit that maybe, just maybe, he has a bit of a soft spot for him, himself.
He takes a seat on the floor next to 9S.]
Killing him every time the reset room revives him isn't a viable option. Perhaps he will only revive twice, or perhaps he'll be revived a hundred times. Even if it is physically possible for you to remain in the same place for such a long time, that is no way to live. Not only that, but people will begin to fear you.
no subject
As 9S' eyes scan over the words on the screen, he feels his chest tighten. His response comes back sudden and sharp, but it quickly trails off with a slow uncertainty.]
But I'm protecting them! Why would they be afraid of me...?
no subject
[...because if he does, then 9S has some very unfortunate things to learn about humanity...]
no subject
I don't know. They both claim the other is lying, but even if she's telling the truth, I don't think she had to kill him.
no subject
And if the android is so eager to kill a machine, what's to say what will happen to a native for example, if they were to get on your bad side?
I know that isn't how you are. [... it's strange for him to say that in the short time that he's known 9S, but... he seems too innocent, too naive, full of wonder and easy to provoke, all like a child. Of course, it could all be a mask, a cleverly designed AI... but as far as he's seen, it seems legitimate.
Perhaps he really is too accepting of non-humans.] But they, and other arrivals here do not. And once you've instilled fear in them, it will be difficult to gain their trust and assuage their worries.
no subject
[Akechi just doesn't understand what they're dealing with here, but if he's confused, some of the other humans might be too. Then all he has to tell him is the truth.]
We androids were made to serve humanity, and machines are the enemy of you humans. There's no reason for them not to believe me. Even if Eve looks like a human, he's still a machine! He can't feel or reason. That should be proof enough.
no subject
No, you are not allowed to stand post at the reset room just to keep killing that machine.
[there]
no subject
But-- [He starts, but thinks better of it and tries again.] Then what am I supposed to do?
no subject
A2 has the right idea. Warn people, and make sure they're aware of the threat that he poses. If he starts lashing out at others here, people will be more inclined to take your side when you go to dole out justice.
Though, I imagine some other people may not be too keen on taking turns standing post to have him killed. We really need a jail system... [... mm... maybe he should do something? ... heh, he'd never finish a project of that scale at this rate.] But that's something to figure out later.
For now, don't antagonize him, and keep your distance. And I mean that.
no subject
I'm not the one who's antagonizing anyone, it's him! Machines only know how to kill. If we leave him alone, that's what he's going to do. If jailing is the only option, we don't have time to wait until "later".
no subject
[If he spoke aloud, his name would be said in warning.]
Clearly he does not only know "how to kill". He came here with the other arrivals this time around, is that not right? And yet there is only one person who has reported as being killed by him. You.
That isn't to say that it's acceptable, but you two clearly have history. It wasn't an attack on a stranger. Perhaps Machines are programmed to kill as you say, but if that was true, there would have been more deaths reported by now, and the current residents would have acted in kind to ensure it didn't happen again.
Your heart is in the right place. [...does he even have a heart? anyway—] If you are that concerned, perhaps consider having people who are willing to do it take shifts to follow him discreetly and be prepared to react if he tries anything.
Preventative murder may only incite rage that he seems to hold only towards you, and perhaps other androids, at the moment.
no subject
Just because he hasn't killed anyone else yet doesn't actually mean anything. Machines don't reason. If you're so against me killing him, then I'll follow him. I don't need anyone else to help me.
no subject
But regardless, you are not alone, and this is not a weight you should have to bear by yourself. Especially given that he already killed you once.
[Akechi normally isn't this... gentle, but there's something about 9S that makes him reluctant to approach it another way. Even though he feels a simmering annoyance at the fact that he won't let this go, he feels in a way as though... he's dealing with a child, and that smooths over the roughness of his emotions.]
no subject
[A pause, and then he adds, feeling the weight of his failure bearing down on him now more than ever.]
It's 2B's job too. She's the fighter, all I can do is provide support...
no subject
Do what you want, then.
[How the hell did Kurusu manage something like this? That sheer stubbornness required to keep trying with a person who just refused to listen to reason...
Heh, but even he had his limits.
Quietly, he rises back up. If 9S is this insistent... perhaps deterring him from his duty would only be detrimental, in the end.]
no subject
I want to protect Akira and those closest to him! I've already failed once... I guess I'm a sorry excuse for a YoRHa.
But...this is my purpose.
