no dice on french, though.
why are you asking now?

There's this blind dude who showed up, so obviously he can't read the phones or see anyone sign. Shit sucks, so at least if I knew how to speak English, I could say somethin' to him in a soundproofed room.

So what can I get ya in return? Food? Supplies? Don't seem right to just take up a teacher's time like that.

While I'm not officially a teacher, I know a tricks on how to learn it. [ because when you have a grandfather who insists on speaking nothing but that to you, you have to find some way to keep up. ]

Like what?

Reading familiar novels or watching recorded plays that were translated into French was also helpful. I didn't have to struggle to figure out what the context was thanks to my prior understanding of it.

I figure my head'd explode if I tried learning more than one speak at a time, but... this is pretty interesting.
How come you had to learn French, anyway? Don't sound like it was just for class.

If this tech's from the future, can't it just read my mind?
no subject
I am pretty sure it can actually. I think there's a translator on the device. I used it the other day to read some of the french signs in the hospital.
no subject
[ He might as well just tell Eddie what was up. ]
There's a blind guy here. I don't think the devices can do anything. I mean, if he says somethin', I can get a translation, but it's one-way.
