You must've a leg up on understanding everything around here, too. Not just French, but how people think and how the houses look, stuff like that. I never been outside Japan, except for when I ended up here.

[ so far? it's pretty different here. the most she thinks is similar to back home is the insistence that children follow their family and elders when it comes to decisions. no matter how... extreme some decisions have to be.
hm. a morbid topic. let's focus on something else- ] You never been out of Japan before, really? You strike me as someone who is 'seasoned' when it comes to adventures.

Guess I do have a lot of experiences, but my work pretty much tied me to one place for the past couple of years.

Plus, you know how it is when you're a kid. You gotta go where your family takes ya. Although growin' up in Tokyo, that's pretty much an adventure in itself.
