So I guess I'm the fucking mayor of this shithole now. Pretty funny for a guy who never voted in his life. I don't know whether to thank the assholes who voted for me or punch you all, but I always was better at punching than saying thank you so you can guess where I'm leaning.

I'm taking this to mean the Natives are washing their hands of us. They don't want to be responsible for what happens next, but they still want to reap the benefits if we manage to make progress with the Sound Eaters. I get why they're scared, but where I come from death is always permanent and patriots lose their lives every day so the people back home can be free. Even if we come back, that doesn't make our sacrifice mean less.

Alright, enough of that bullshit, I'm getting to a point. All of us are going to pool our resources and Soundproof the Communal Houses. I want as many done as possible before the new people get here. We're constructing a Prison too which needs to be fully soundproofed and tough enough to keep shitbags inside. If there's anyone or anything you're worried about coming here from your world, you can let us know HERE. Mike is putting together a book so we'll all be ready. If you want to help, drop off materials at the Clinic, which is always looking for volunteers. Stay tuned for us rehabbing the Hospital too. We need anyone who knows any fucking thing about medicine and repairing androids or whatever that shit is.

No one does anything alone, there need to be witnesses to everything that happens in this crater. If you go out to the Sound Eaters: Bring your device and record. We don't know if the memory loss from the Room is permanent, but it's better not to risk being wrong. We need all the information we can get on those things. I'm doing a trip when the new arrivals get here out to Monster Island. If you want in, let me know.

No, but I know Iron Man. He makes a lot of mistakes, but he tries his best to protect everyone. It doesn't take a genius to work out that causing destruction=making noise and making noise=dead people.

It's not what the real Iron Man would do. He'd never risk people dying to get his way. That's not who he is! And if I'm wrong about that again I'm going to stress as a member of patrol I'm obligated to protect everyone here even if it's from someone I look up to any other time.

TALK about it first. That's how a democracy works! You can't just destroy things blindly on any world, but especially on this one. That's what terrorists do.

If you were given power, it was by the people of our Earth. Your authority doesn't extend here. I was given power by the Natives to protect everyone. Our mayor was given authority by US to protect us how he sees fit. You can protest and try to gain support to get rid of the prison. THAT'S your right as a citizen. You cannot blindly destroy things. That's an act of terrorism and again I will be within MY rights to stop you along with other members of patrol.

It's not about defending you! Best case scenario: he's impersonating the real Iron Man and making everyone hate him. Worst case: he's like an evil version of him and he's really going to risk people lives just because he doesn't like the fact that you're in charge.

It's not right. You can't expect me to turn a blind eye to it.

You know I trust you to handle this, but if anything blows up I won't hold back. I'm not any good with this purple man stuff, but anything else I am going to do what I think is right. I want you to be okay with that.

[But, okay she's settling down now.] It's hard to say. I've studied as much as I can about Iron Man. Nothing suggests he'd behave that way. He literally goes to children's hospitals with weaponless suits just so sick kids can get the experience of playing with them with none of the danger. He's a sweet guy as far as I can tell. It wouldn't be the first time someone tried to/or did compromise an Avenger to get their way. It's definitely possible if this is the real Tony Stark that's what happened.

He does seem weirdly stuck on destroying the prison. Nothing I said made him even think twice about this. It's like he doesn't care about the consequences at all.

if tony isn't tony i'll find out. if he is, i should be able to reason with him.

Yeah that's true. Maybe he just won't take anyone with the username 'slothbaby' seriously even what I was saying was true. You know how judgmental some people are. Knowing my age and what I look like probably wouldn't help things either. You served our country though so maybe in person he'll give you a chance?

Of course I did. I pay attention. For as long as I've been here you've tried your best to help and protect everyone. You didn't give up on doing that even after you suffered at the hands of a maniac. That's amazing. You know that, right? That's why I have complete faith in you as a leader and friend. It takes a special kind of person to take their pain and turn it into something good. That's who I want to represent me and my interests.

He is plus there's Captain America! Ugh I know it's wrong, but I really wish he were here. I bet he'd know what to say to make him stop. He always stands up for everyone too so I know he'd give you a chance too.

Okay good. I'm still massively disappointed in his behavior, but I'm glad it didn't end with anyone getting hurt.

Thanks! But, okay I'm going to defend you on this one. We have the Purple Man here and I don't see him threatening to blow up his house.

No matter way you look at it he crossed a serious line. No one can guarantee the sound eaters wouldn't go crazy and murder all of us if we blow something up. He wanted to risk that just to say he doesn't approve of what you did back home? I don't either, but that doesn't mean I'd threaten to blow up a prison to make a point about it. No one's opinion is more than important than the lives of others.

no one here seems concerned about kilgrave at all and that's worried me from day one. if even one more guy half as bad as him comes in we could have a serious crisis. [ aka thanks for backing me up even though he asked you not to... ]
