Sound Eaters. The locals are right. They're really, really fast. Like don't blink fast.

They're also not as dumb as they look. They figure things out pretty quick.

Also being reset is weird. At first it's like you haven't fully woken up. That lasts longer than I thought it would.

How did you get reset? What happened?

My fault. I snuck off while we were on our way back home and doubled back to the Eiffel tower after everyone left.

I kinda thought with how they were snapping at each other I could trick them into actually attacking each other.

It was the best chance I had of seeing what they do without getting others in trouble.

[He actually feels bad about this one. He did use his gifts to sneak off without telling anyone with the exact purpose of having no one stop him from trying.]

Also there is no good explanation for what he was trying to do. It was a bad plan relying on the Sound Eaters being dumber than eh was.

But he does remember another conversation they had and it's really the best way to describe it at this point.]

I tried to make the Sound Eaters fight each other.

I'll spare you the obvious lecture. But would you mind walking me through your reasoning here?

They were snapping and looked ready to fight each other.

I doubled back while everyone was far enough away and on their way home. I figured that was the best chance to see if they'd actually kill each other with no locals around to get hurt.

How did you try to fight the Sound Eaters?

All of this information gathering is good but also things I've feared. If they are that fast. Is there are way to trap them or slow them down?

How did you get reset? And how long did that feeling last for?

I didn't exactly get a chance to fight them. Maybe next time?

[Hopefully not. Even if he was ready he's not sure he can deal with that. Where's a nine foot tall fur ball with teeth, claws and violence when you need one?]

I sort of tried to trick them, they caught me right away and I don't quite remember how it ended but I woke up in the room. I felt weird for a few days but I don't think they did anything lasting. At least as far as I can tell.

I'm not sure if that's the same for everyone though.

I don't know if you can slow them down. I think if you catch them off guard maybe, but once they've spotted you I'm pretty sure it's over.

Hopefully you don't go by yourself to fight them. Even if you think it's a good idea too. None of us really knows what works against them.

[ He did learn from Yuuri about how MMO video games use all the teammates to hit the boss or enemy with everything they got. Maybe here people with abilities could do the same. The Reset Room scares people especially that chance of not coming back. Poe is willing to take that risk for a plan that may not even work now. ]

How did you trick them? I've been trying to form up an ambush plan. But if you couldn't even trick them. It may not work in the way I hope it would.

Well, the only thing we can do is ask those people who get Reset. Maybe it is all different from person to person.

I know someone who can hold objects and people in place. I could try to catch them off guard with the plan I have in mind. This is tricky and still all very risky.

If they're fast I'm not even sure I can fight them.

I made myself so I couldn't be seen and threw rocks to make noises by one since they looked ready to fight each other. I was hoping they'd attack that one. Instead they sought out who created the noise, not the noise itself.

By the time I realized that it was too late.

[Fear has always been something Aaron's had a strange relationship with. He doesn't recognize it when he should.]

oh, hey. reset is what the locals call what happens when you get killed here and end up back in the room we all started in. it's weird and i have no clue why it works. also it may not work every time i'm told.

so it's like a respawn that glitches every now and then. awesome.

do resets happen all the time?

they only happen when you die and only sometimes. oh, and only for us. the locals just die so don't take risks with them around.
