Sound Eaters. The locals are right. They're really, really fast. Like don't blink fast.

They're also not as dumb as they look. They figure things out pretty quick.

Also being reset is weird. At first it's like you haven't fully woken up. That lasts longer than I thought it would.

How did you get reset? What happened?

My fault. I snuck off while we were on our way back home and doubled back to the Eiffel tower after everyone left.

I kinda thought with how they were snapping at each other I could trick them into actually attacking each other.

[He actually feels bad about this one. He did use his gifts to sneak off without telling anyone with the exact purpose of having no one stop him from trying.]

I tried to make the Sound Eaters fight each other.

I'll spare you the obvious lecture. But would you mind walking me through your reasoning here?

They were snapping and looked ready to fight each other.

I doubled back while everyone was far enough away and on their way home. I figured that was the best chance to see if they'd actually kill each other with no locals around to get hurt.

But you didn't just watch them. You tried to egg them on?

I hid and tried to throw rocks at the ground near one so the others turned on that one.

They must have figured out it was a rock pretty quick because they looked for me right away. I thought I was well hidden but that was a joke.

It was the best chance I had of seeing what they do without getting others in trouble.

I think so. It wasn't great at first but I think I'm back to normal. If I start growing weird stuff off my face or acting strange in my sleep, let me know okay?

Also there is no good explanation for what he was trying to do. It was a bad plan relying on the Sound Eaters being dumber than eh was.

But he does remember another conversation they had and it's really the best way to describe it at this point.]

[ Kara pictures Jessica dying again. Jessica is strong, stronger than most humans, and she was brought down in a snap. She doesn't even want to picture Aaron dying. She shakes her head, sighing quietly. ]

I'm sure they can be, but that should be a group effort,
something we should decide at the Town Hall or something. Even if there's a big possibility we come back, it's not a 100% guarantee. After all, the native who fell didn't come back.

You've got to be careful.

I heard about the native. That's why I'm not going to ask someone to come along when I do stuff like that.

If everyone comes up with a plan I'll do what I can to help, but I won't get others caught up in whatever I decide to do.

[He admits after that failure that his plans aren't the best tactics.]

You shouldn't risk yourself either. Look, next time you decide to run off, please message me first. At the very least, I can protect you. Probably without getting hurt myself.
