Hotdog's Inaugural Address (un:hotdog)
So I guess I'm the fucking mayor of this shithole now. Pretty funny for a guy who never voted in his life. I don't know whether to thank the assholes who voted for me or punch you all, but I always was better at punching than saying thank you so you can guess where I'm leaning.
I'm taking this to mean the Natives are washing their hands of us. They don't want to be responsible for what happens next, but they still want to reap the benefits if we manage to make progress with the Sound Eaters. I get why they're scared, but where I come from death is always permanent and patriots lose their lives every day so the people back home can be free. Even if we come back, that doesn't make our sacrifice mean less.
Alright, enough of that bullshit, I'm getting to a point. All of us are going to pool our resources and Soundproof the Communal Houses. I want as many done as possible before the new people get here. We're constructing a Prison too which needs to be fully soundproofed and tough enough to keep shitbags inside. If there's anyone or anything you're worried about coming here from your world, you can let us know HERE. Mike is putting together a book so we'll all be ready. If you want to help, drop off materials at the Clinic, which is always looking for volunteers. Stay tuned for us rehabbing the Hospital too. We need anyone who knows any fucking thing about medicine and repairing androids or whatever that shit is.
No one does anything alone, there need to be witnesses to everything that happens in this crater. If you go out to the Sound Eaters: Bring your device and record. We don't know if the memory loss from the Room is permanent, but it's better not to risk being wrong. We need all the information we can get on those things. I'm doing a trip when the new arrivals get here out to Monster Island. If you want in, let me know.

I know that the natives put together a little information for new arrivals and they explain the situation but some people might benefit from something other trapped people put together. It could detail everything we know, events that happen, consequences of dying and everything important that we've done so far - updated regularly so it's all available on the 'berry and not just the bulletin board.

But you could put in how to contact the people who can heal or use non-magical abilities if someone gets hurt, that there are lessons on first-aid and CPR every Sunday for people who want to learn. Also if there's someone who suffers from nightmares regularly, that they can contact me to help them out.

You could add that new people seem to arrive once a month but leave randomly and it sounds like most of their belongings disappear with them. Unlike when someone dies. I'm not sure if anyone's tried to leave or has any concrete plans to try but that's a good thing to add. That people can go home and forget this place only to come back to realize the length of time doesn't match up in both worlds.
I have creatures I can summon that make them stop at least for the night. Right now I have one patrolling the housing area, which I hope helps some people, but if someone wants to make sure they can let me know where they live so I can send it there.

I don't consider them monsters, they're animals or creatures. Cats, dogs, rabbits, panda - things like that. And they just wander around to help people sleep without nightmares, that's all.
