[Carpet and Merlan have been present every day this week to collect and tally people's ballots--if you'd like an action thread with either of them involving that, feel free to post it here! Now that the polls have closed, Carpet is excited to announce the winner, even if he's still a little shaky on the concept of democracy.]

Voting is over now, thank you to everyone who contributed! It was a very close race between Hot Dog and Teddy. Every vote really counted right until the very end!

Why would you call it a dog then? What kind of meat is it made out of?

I'm from Agrabah! I lived in the palace for a little while before I came here! You're one of Princess Jasmine's friends too?

[Agrabah, Rugman, and now Princess Jasmine? Yep, this is that feeling he gets when someone he knows is around but they probably won't recognize him. And yet a familiar... face? Rug, whatever.

Either way that looks like excited text to him. He's glad he could make a friend happy.]

The palace, huh? I've never even been inside. Mostly just hung out in the city. It must have been nice living there. Yeah, we're friends. You're Carpet, right? I heard about you from Genie.

[Forget about hot dogs, he's super stoked. Somebody knows Agrabah, he's not alone here! Even if he's never met you before, Sora, he's excited and happy to see you. He may not know you, but you're already instantly accepted as a friend, just one that he needs to do some catching up with.]

That's right! If you're friends with Genie and Princess Jasmine then you must be my friend too!

The palace is really pretty! Maybe if we ever get back home I can show you around in it? Aladdin and Princess Jasmine don't like staying put very much though.

Yeah, I met Genie near Agrabah and we saved Jasmine together. Afterwards he decided to travel with me and he liked to talk about you guys a lot.

It looks huge from the outside, I bet I'd get lost if I didn't have a great guide to look around. And since you offered first, how could I refuse? Haha, I don't like to stay put either. I wanna see everything when I go back.

[This timeline..... mostly makes sense to him. Genie had left immediately after Jafar had been defeated, so it wouldn't be too strange to meet him outside of Agrabah. When had he saved Jasmine, though? Shouldn't He and Aladdin have been around, too? Shouldn't she have mentioned something about it? Maybe she was just too embarrassed, or didn't want to worry Aladdin.....

Well, it doesn't matter, anyway. If that's what Sora says happened, then that's obviously what happened.]

Jasmine and I will show you everything! What kind of adventures did you have with Genie?

[Everything he types is true, just maybe not in the right order. Though he did technically save Jasmine after meeting Genie. Twice. There is also so much he left out about his trip to Agrabah but he finds most of his friends think it strange that he knows them when they find out.

It'd probably be easier with Carpet, what with all the magic and what not flying around.]

That'd be great! I've never been in a palace before. Well, there was a flying ship with pirates and he helped me defeat a dragon.

Most importantly, he helped me save two of my friends!

[Carpet might in fact miraculously be one of the few who doesn't think it's too strange. If he isn't crushingly sad about forgetting Sora, then he would probably just shrug and accept it's Just A Magic Thing people that aren't him are able to do and know about--like the people Genie sometimes pretends to be, even though none of the names ever sound familiar to him. Who is "Nicholas Cage"? What is a "movie"? None of it makes sense in the slightest.

He has, however, heard of the ocean, and of ships. He may have even seen them before, depending on where he and his previous masters have gone adventuring.]

That sounds pretty scary! Was it a pirate dragon? Or was it two fights? Who were your other friends?

[Maybe someday, Sora will explain everything. From his time in Agrabah to meeting alternate versions of his friends. Today is not that day.

Having been to Agrabah, he knows better than most what kind of things don't exist and that Carpet might not understand.]

No, it was two fights. Fighting a pirate dragon would be scary.

Their names are Riku and Kairi. I lost them both and was traveling around different worlds looking for them.

[Because obviously the hat is how you know it's a pirate. Without the hat, a dragon would just be a dragon, not a pirate dragon. More importantly, though:]

Did you ever find your friends again? That's an awful lot of places to look!

It'd ask the hydra where it got its hat from. The individual who makes them will be so relieved when the dragon shows up. He'll say that one hat is no problem, the hydra asked for eight! :D

Yeah, I did. And then I lost Riku again so I went looking for him once more. But I found him again and we went home together.

It does when they're as big as the hydra needs them to be. So at least the hat maker made a lot of money.
