yes there is a clinic and yes there are drugs and there's alcohol too to boot if that's your poison.
Or satisfy your cravings by munching on bad thoughts like the cute little critters down there and be forever fawned over and adored. I don't care.
What I need to know is who keeps the inventory sheets for the hospital. If I could get an answer pronto that'd be all the better for me. But why do I feel as if the answer will be "not me, are you volunteering?"
Coffee would be welcome but don't everybody rush in here all at once
I need names of trained medical professionals if there are any others and if you don't want to paint a target on your back you can stop by the Charles Nicolle and show me your badge in person. I don't bite and I couldn't hurt a fly if I tried.
Who can get these machines into a room where the pleasant whirring and beeping of faulty equipment won't cause trouble?
Who can bring one of those rooms into the hospital proper?
and who's bringing an orchard for the front desk?
this place is so dreary it's a breeding ground for depression and that's rubbing me the wrong way
If you didn't catch any of that: hi I'm Hawkeye. I happen to think hospitals can be useful if they're put to use and I could really use some coffee right now.
ALso if anyone was promised an extra canner to help alleviate your shifts, I'm sorry your hopes were lifted like that. you were lied to. some people really are shameless.
[Feel free to catch the man in the CNH itself any day, basically. He's got a pet project for himself in taking stock (bo-ring), tidying up (useless but okay), and uh-- falling asleep in uncomfortable office chairs when it gets a little too late. Maybe. Look, he's very serious about wasting away in this newfound little heaven of his. Want to plot? HMU @ fourboars at plurk!]

why are you named hawkeye

[C'mon, man, he's got this.]
I'm named after the character in The Last of the Mohicans. my dad loved that book so much it's the only one he ever read.
So does this mean you're volunteering?

He has literally never seen them before (he's seen their predecessors at best), and that shit is crazy and should never, ever be brought up. Fuck. Okay. Derailed train of thought. Back to the current.]
Well I need somewhere to move them to before we do any big moving but I've got you jotted down as "Some Guy Who can Move Things" so I don't lose you.
Have you been in this hospital lately? It's a mess and I'm not leaving until it's a productive kind of mess. I'm glad nobody I know is here to see me say that. There's some floors with heavy damage.

[ he's... pretty sure akira is underage and probably isn't a certified nurse?? but whatever. ]
This town partially operates on a finders keepers every man for himself kind of mentality so I think you'd be the first one to do inventory
I can help you with that if you want
And soundproofing wherever you need it
show off
Not to be confused with the fact that I am going to take any and all help I can get so consider yourself drafted.
And thank you.

You'll help plenty. This place isn't a dump but that's only because the reception is pretty get further back into it and it looks like it never even finished being built. There's scrap everywhere

Let's talk business. Are you setting up a surgical unit?

Because we're in France. Funny.
It looks like I could and I've yet to see why I shouldn't. Why?

I've got some medications, antibiotics, etc. Also a defibrillator. If you're trying to get the place back up and running. I could bring all that shit back? I'm no doctor, just no basic shit from patching myself back together.
no subject
I'm really not trying to limit access to things here. At least Not yet and not if there isn't a real need for it
you know how to work a defibrillator?
[He's getting the "cold chill" kind of sensation that accompanies the idea of-- futurism, and being effectively obsolete. Defibrillators aren't first aid, not by a long shot.]

I can also volunteer to get some flowers too.

do you need a letterhead to turn back to the Lornful Light? I can scribble one right up for you. Who do I make this and the upcoming heartfelt Thank You note out to?
You could bring in weeds in a plastic cup and call it a brightening arrangement and I'd be forever yours

Also if you just need some heavy lifting around the hospital, I'm your girl. ;)

Correct me if I'm wrong but you just wrote to me (second sentence, second statement of said sentence) to say that you can x ray people with your eyes.
[It's almost... kind of fun. To want to be going crazy, for a change. Cathartic.]

Detective Joseph Oda. I'm not a medical professional, Mr. (Dr.?) Hawkeye, but please let me know if I can be of any assistance.

I haven't worked much with detectives and that is to sayI have never really worked with a detective. the big city homicides were never my thing. What do the natives have you doing to earn your keep here? It doesn't matter what you answer because of course you'll be of assistance but now I'm curious.

and i dont know anything about an inventory already existing but i can help if you need it. i know a lot of names of a lot of the drugs used in hospitals. i've been exploring the hospital a lot too in general lately.
(Granted....He might butcher the spelling.)
i also work at the greenhouse and can bring some plants over 😊 maybe even some of the medicinal ones for a small garden for resources?

shut the device off. Can he do that? And maybe make it look like he never received the message. Telegrams go missing all the time. Letters always get lost in the mail. Things just... get lost, now and then.

what medicinal plants?
[Because he doesn't have anything but the most esteemed, respectable, professional opinion on marijuana, really.]

If you need a hand, I'm a quick learner and I've been elbow deep in things probably no human should ever be in. I do have a few degrees under my belt, but none are applicable to medicine save, perhaps the doctorate in forensic psychology - that at least is mental health related, for the most part. Mechanical engineering might come in handy with the machines. I can also help with soundproofing.
I do have fairly basic training in First-Aid and I figure we're all kinda stuck here, so, I'm packing as much learning from anyone willing to give it. I know a few healing spells as well as a few others that might come in hand.
...I could really use some coffee, too. Desperately. Insomnia and I are very, very old friends.

You know something you're already my favorite but dont tell the others.
so in lieu of reckless caffeine intake how about I suggest a more pleasant alternative to sleepless nights?
