Seems like a couple people here have been showin' up with folks they know from back home. I was figurin' that since they came from the same place, they were also from just about the same time -- but from what I been hearing, that ain't necessarily the case.

So if you're from the 'future' compared to someone ya know here, lemme ask ya this: do you remember that other person going missing?

I also heard that there were people who came here before us, but it tapered off before starting back up again last month. But how long was that dry spell? Would anyone from back then be around?

Yeah, I already know about this one. But the one I'm from, there's definitely no monsters runnin' around chasing down everyone who makes a peep.

I thought that was normal.

I hope that's the norm. [Especially if she ends up somewhere else instead of home. A world without monsters of any kind would be a nice change.]

What if a bunch of people are zipping around to alternate universes like this one? If what Sora says is true, they wouldn't even remember. And no one'd miss 'em.

Yep. Think I just ended up with more questions than answers.

But it don't seem right to sit around waiting to magically get swapped back to where I was.

I mean, what are the other options?

[Really, if there are other options, she's interested in hearing them. All the sitting around in total silence is making her crazy.]

Oh yeah. Jake was talkin' about portals.

Only the closest thing to a portal I've seen so far is that Reset Room, and it seems like people disappear when they ain't near it, too.

So then there's no pattern to it or anything it just...happens, without warning.

Yeah, that can happen. There are a lot that have monsters but not all of them.

Have you been to a different kind of world besides this one and your home world?

No. Just home and this one.

How many other places have you been?

[Technically every world has monsters - some are just human-shaped.]

Your world has monsters?

42. The first 25 all belong in the same dimension mine does, 12 were replicas of other worlds cities and came complete with their monsters, and the final 5 are worlds like this one.

I left my world at 14 and have only been back once in the last 6 years.

Just the human kind. You know, serial killers, terrorists... [Asshole step-families.]

[Sora's world has some monster-people too... though he isn't sure he'd classify Xehanort as a serial killer. Maybe a terrorist.]

That sucks.

It's a lot, right? And when I do get home, I'll add more. Traveling to different worlds is sorta in my job description.

So, normally this is something you can do because you want to? You can control whether you go to other worlds?

Yep.

Usually! I sorta accidentally left my home world when I was 14 and ended up in another one, where I met some people who had a ship that could travel between worlds. Unfortunately there have been worlds that I couldn't leave and this might be one of them. Though I'm not gonna stop looking for a way out.

[That's kind of awesome. Not necessarily being trapped in a world, but being able to move from dimension to dimension.]

What other kinds of worlds are out there?

[Yeah, he thinks so too. Sora feels it's one of the best jobs someone could have.]

Well there's one where everyone is an animal and they're ruled by a king and queen mice. One where's an entire kingdom underwater with mermaids who play with dolphins and other other sea creatures. A town where it's always sunset where they play a sort of fighting game called Struggle. Another where there's a giant play area for kids with things like trampolines and roller coasters. A couple with pirates and flying and skeleton bad guys. One where holidays like Halloween and Christmas are separated just by a door.

And there are a couple where you can get a whole different set of powers like one where you get a summon called a Persona. Then another where you can learn to use magic or ride giant bird creatures.

[All of those worlds sound so much more appealing than giant monster world where silence reigns. She'd take pirates and skeleton bad guys in a hot second over monsters of unknown origin and not being able to talk.]

That's awesome. So if someone vanishes from here there's a good chance they won't get sent back to their own world? They might just end up in a place with trampolines and roller coasters?

[They are pretty fun but he also left out all the bad ones. He hasn't been able to control what world he goes to in a long time.]

There's a possibility. If I can figure out how to leave, I could even take you to a bunch of them.

You'd get to meet all of my friends too. There's a lot of them.
