[On the Network]

[There's a few pictures uploaded of House Six's kitchen and breakfast nook, which suddenly looks a little different than normal. The walls are covered in strange panels, the windows are covered in new thick curtains, even the doors seem to have pillows stuffed along the cracks.]

I, Reigen Arataka, have purified this space and blessed it. And I have also installed a few features to help minimize sound escaping. Painstakingly installed as silently as possible (until I could hammer stuff in as fast as possible during the rain) I present the following additions to our kitchen and breakfast nook:

•A thicker layer of insulation in the walls + extra drywall
•Staggered the vents so there's no suffocation but sound is dampened
•Wall paneling that will absorb sound
•Window inserts to prevent sound escape through the glass
•Thick blackout curtains that can work as soundproofing curtains
•A full collection of silk pillows to stuff along the door to prevent sound escape while inside

I will write up a full list of my material collection and installation process (it involves a lot of hand drilling and careful sprinkling of salt) and tonight I am going to fry fish and vegetables on my stove. If you want inside you better message me before I start at 7:00pm sharp because I am locking the doors to prevent the pillows from being moved. If you want to eat too then bring your own ingredients.

[Reigen's there and he's stocked his fridge with the ingredients he wants to use for food. He still has to be quiet with the doors open, so he's got his device sitting on the counter where he can see, but he's been practicing sign language. ...He's still a little shaky with it since he spent so much time doing this instead.

Once someone wanders in, he signs a greeting, though!]

[ frank hasn't prioritized meeting his housemates. grumpy bruised guy in the garage doesn't lend itself very well to hanging out with roommates, but even said grump has to eat, you know, occasionally. usually he has his head down, hood drawn over his face, but today he's walking with his head-up, wearing an olive jumpsuit and a thick black hoodie, completed by suspiciously silent combat boots.

he catches the greeting as he moves past the other man to find something to make a sandwich out of. wait, is that for him, or...? he kind of looks behind himself, people usually aren't so friendly in new york. it's still something that throws him for a loop about this place. Hey he signs back casually, though with a slight hesitation. is he interrupting something...? he hadn't checked the network that day and is mostly (unsure) about what's even happening right now. ]

[Reigen just grins, pulling up his device to message his housemate.]

[ he's more observant than his oafish appearance would suggest, so he just nods. then signs: You? ]

That was one of the easier parts. I took it out of a half torn down house. Same with the extra drywall.

[shinsou decides to visit out of curiosity and with some hope that maybe he can take some tips back with him in soundproofing their own house (what with aizawa still suffering from a cold and the chances any one of them could catch it).

he has a canvas bag with him, held carefully in his arm to prevent it from making any noise as he steps inside. there's some wrapped fish to join reigen's and mushrooms with carrots he had found on their way back from the sound eaters.

he signs a greeting in return to reigen's, raising an eyebrow as he takes in the 'new' interior.]

but he nods and walks over to the fridge to unload what he has, folding the canvas bag up after he finishes. experimentally, shinsou signs to him.]

I rather miss the luxury of taking a proper bath or shower myself.

Running water might be too much for one guy in one house. Maybe we'll get people together to work on something like a bath house.

If not, it does appear to be what I'm familiar with as modern, so if we could find a gym...

I started just before everyone left to go see the Sound Eaters, got a ton of work hurried in as fast as possible during the rain, and wrapped up about a day afterwards. A local helped during the rain to finish getting the drywall and paneling put up.

[Victor's quite impressed by the pictures and craftsmenship, looking over the ways the room had been soundproofed. Next rain, he should use similar methods on his own kitchen... or maybe a dance space for him and Yuuri to have their classes. He saves the information by messaging it to himself, before commenting. They had briefly met before, but Reigen seems like a handy type to have around, no harm in making friends!]

Very impressive! I hope to create a dance studio so we can all get some exercise. This should prove a helpful guide.

Someone suggested a gym, too. Maybe we should pool together on a rainy weekend and refurbish a place to try and get running water or at least a bath or something, and exercise space.

So this is what you've been working on... I was sooo bored doing community guard alone, but at least it was worth it.

It's a lot of work, but maybe with this we can soundproof at least one room in every house.

I think it's a good idea at least, or to have some sort of place that everyone can use. Soundproofing like this takes a lot of caution, though.
