What should be done in the case of sickness?

[He hadn't asked the locals because he always struck himself as a person who didn't get sick. This was, of course, a lie, he was a person to simply work through his sickness until his legs gave out. He should have seen this coming, really. Rain doesn't cause colds, after all, but working in the rain for almost a full day while not sleeping will sure compromise the immune system.]

I assume a quarantine is useful for the natives. All the ill are kept in one place with as much soundproofing as possible. If it's only a few cases then they may stay isolated rather than risk moving outside of walls. They don't have the luxury of a reset. [which is still sketchy as hell, to him, it's hard to believe he might have a second life ready to go]

There is, however, the matter of us.

To those with opinions:
Individuals with a sickness that compromises their silence should:
1) Remain isolated in their rooms, muffling sound as best they can.
2) Attempt transit to the hospital to minimize threat to the residences.
3) Attempt to leave in order to assure no sound eaters are attracted to the city.

If you have a better idea than that, go ahead. I've got nothing better to do than check this for now.

[And people in House Four can tell he's not talking in hypotheticals. He's curled up with a blanket, muffling coughs into cloth while facing the wall in his empty, empty room.]

Well, so far I got being super healthy and maybe a talent or two that's useful here but that's not much yet. I guess I'm just waiting for the right path to open up.

Colds can be pretty serious if you don't accept any outside help and let it get worse.

The person I know, who is sick now, thought it would be completely fine and smart to avoid resting after being out in the cold rain all day.

So I think their opinion on what is necessary and what isn't is kind of useless right now.

possible other compromise is setting up an empty house nearby to be a sickhouse with separate rooms that's more accessible than the hospital, but you'd need people dedicated to that

I don't think there's anyone in this house I'd trust with the subtlety to knock me out without actually causing some damage.

A functioning sick-house could be a long-term. As much as I dislike thinking about this place in the long term- It's not like we've really made any progress after the Paris visit.

I slept twelve hours after the rain ended, then woke up feeling light headed. I almost slipped while working and that convinced me to stay inside.

At least I realized that before the sneezing started.

I assumed it was normal sleep deprivation. One night can never quite fix it.

Besides, I like to keep myself busy.

[He shuffles himself up to his feet, picking up one of the two pillows to carry with him. He accepts the mask, putting it on, and starting to follow. He hesitates at the doorway, though, pausing to lean against it. His signs are sluggish,]

[Her response comes a minute later as well because she's busy prepping. . .]

[How dare you set up a logical paradox in which he can no longer defend his logicalness. He's just sick enough to fall for it, dropping his head and burying it in the pillow he'd stolen.]

[At some point he dozed off. Lu Li can get shown to his room, which is an empty and sort of sad-looking place. He hasn't added any sort of furniture. He's laying on the floor, in a mess of sheets, with one pillow under his head and his face buried in another. He's close to the corner of the room, so as to give any coughs or sneezes no chance to reverberate.]

[It's a lot more relaxed kind of sleep that Lu Li woke him from on the way to Paris, despite the circumstances. It's a different type of stress.]
