It can produce metallic rose vines, which are just as much of a weapon, and can be used at both close and distant ranges. Although they, and the ammunition in general, are incapable of harming humans.

There's an entire society of them.

[ There are places here and there which have a smaller, if not nonexistent population, but in general they're also all over the world. So, yes. ]

No. Not from what I can tell.

Oh, there's conflict, among other things. Although up until the past few years, humans weren't aware of the vampires' existence as a whole.

If anything, it wasn't the mass panic that we had assumed would happen. Although there are also plenty of vampires who aren't hostile, and only want to live in peace.

But all of 'em were that peaceful, wouldn't be any need for anyone to hunt 'em down.

Exactly, on both accounts. There still are plenty of vampires who go rogue, or in general believe they're above humanity and can attack and kill as they please. They're the ones who get themselves listed.

So ya get paid for takin' them down, or is it more of a pro bono thing?

I do. And in the first place, being a hunter is something one is born into. I began training when I was around five.

[ It's (maybe surprisingly) lucrative. Even when growing up, with his parents still around, he's always been financially comfortable. ]

It's an entire bloodline, actually. I've never had an issue with doing so. There are also those who help out more with the behind the scenes stuff, like a desk job, compared to my being on the field. Although I'll do both at times.
